This is at least at the time of writing unique between Email AI Assistants.
Here’s how you can send an email auto-reply, according to received email and your custom input.
- Create an account on Actor if you don’t have one: (https://actordo.com)
- Create a custom Rule
- Set it active and that’s all
Let me show you how to automate email reply on Gmail.
Create account and allow for email access
Go to https://actordo.com and click create account (it’s free).
You’ll be asked to give Actor AI Assistant permissions for email/calendar/tasks. Learn more about Google Permissions.
After you check those, click Continue.

Set up email rule for the auto reply
You might not want to reply to every email. For example you can reply to:
- emails with specific label
- email from specific sender
- email that are about or include some keywords or have a specific topic
This is needed and can be customized according to your needs. The good thing is that you can do it with natural language. No need for hard to understand filters.
Let’s see first an example:
Rule to reply when the incoming email is about Actor AI Assistant:

Now let’s go through setting the Rule:
Filter Prompt: this is required in order to filter emails that match this prompt. Think of this prompt like a question that has a yes / no answer:
- is the email about financial matters?
- does the subject line include words like casino / money
- list can continue.
Then you select actions:
- apply labels (any of default Actor labels are available here)
- move to (Archive, Spam or Trash)
Auto Reply to emails using AI
And the best part: auto-reply. What makes this more interesting is that you have more control over this:
- just create the draft (you will see the draft in your email account)
- create the draft and send the email if you never exchanged emails with that recipient (useful for outreach for example)
- draft and send the email automatically.
Reply prompt. You guide Actor AI on how to create the draft. Note that you have access to the incoming email to make it dynamic, but you can also set a simple non-dynamic text.
That’s all!
