One Year of ActorDo – What we’ve built and where we’re going
In August 2024, an idea sparked within our team. At first, ActorDo was just a simple concept: managing small tasks through WhatsApp voice messages.
By September, we started testing tools, exploring possibilities, and talking to potential customers. For 2–3 months we experimented, made decisions, and tried to understand what people really needed. Early on, we noticed real interest from communities on Reddit. That gave us the push to say: let’s start for real.
From Idea to AI Assistant
Actor has grown far beyond its initial concept. Today, it’s an AI Assistant that works on top of the tools you already use – email, calendar, and tasks.
It’s designed to be the AI layer between you and your Google or Microsoft Outlook accounts, helping you focus on what really matters.
We’ve launched all the base features we set out to build:
- Calendar management
- Email (our most advanced feature)
- Tasks integration
And this is only the beginning. We’re constantly improving and adding more.
A Year in Numbers
- 1,800 users connected to Actor so far
- 850 active users today (yes, we’ve seen churn – and we’re learning from it)
- €300/month in revenue (not yet profitable, but we’re moving forward)
- 3,500+ hours invested by our small team
- Significant personal investment – building Actor has been a true commitment
What’s Next
The next year is all about growth and refinement:
- Bringing Actor to more users
- Collecting feedback to make the product easy, intuitive, and indispensable
- Scaling Actor as a business and spreading the word about what it can do
We’ve come a long way in one year – and this is just the beginning. 🚀
