Move from inbox to done, inside Outlook.
Actor sits beside the message you are reading or writing, then connects the next step to your tasks, calendar, and daily agenda.
Re: Launch review and next steps
Hi Alex,
Could you send the revised outline by Friday and confirm a time for our review next week?
Thanks,
Maya
Right there when the next decision appears.
Actor changes with your context, so the help matches the email you are reading, the reply you are writing, or the day you are planning.
Read with a plan
When you open a message, Actor shows its label, extracts possible tasks, suggests replies, and keeps calendar context within reach.
Write in your voice
While composing, tell Actor how to improve your draft. Choose a quick suggestion, use one of your prompts, or start from an email template.
See your day
Go to Home to chat with Actor and see today’s tasks, events, and reminders together. Ask what to prioritize before your next meeting.
More than a faster first draft.
The useful part of email assistance is what happens after you understand a message.
See the signal in the inbox
Actor labels messages so you can spot the work that deserves attention and clear the rest with more confidence. See how Actor manages Outlook email.
Catch the hidden commitments
Turn requests in a message into editable tasks in Microsoft To Do, instead of relying on memory or an open tab.
Get to a useful reply sooner
Draft from context, improve wording, or reuse your prompts and templates. You stay in control of the final email.
Connect email to the day
Bring tasks, events, and reminders into one view and ask Actor what matters before the next meeting.
One Actor, more ways to work.
The Outlook experience is the convenient entry point. Ask, Studio, and Memory give the same assistant more context and ways to follow through.
Ask Actor
Chat about a thread, find what needs a response, or ask for a picture of your day across connected work.
Explore Ask →Studio
Build repeatable workflows: an incoming email can trigger a rule, create a task, prepare a follow-up, or send a digest. Explore practical Outlook automation examples.
Explore Studio →Memory
Keep useful preferences, knowledge, prompts, and templates in an editable workspace so future drafts start with more context.
Explore Memory →A connected next step, not just nicer wording.
Many email tools stop after a summary or a sentence rewrite. Actor can connect the message to tasks, calendar planning, conversation, reusable context, and workflows. That helps you finish the job the email created.

The Outlook add-in requires a licensed Microsoft 365 work or school account. It does not support free personal Outlook accounts or external accounts added to Outlook.
Will my organization need to approve it?
Depending on your Microsoft 365 setup, an administrator may need to approve the add-in and its email, calendar, and task permissions.
Can I review a reply before sending?
Yes. Actor can prepare and improve drafts in Outlook; you decide what to edit and send.
